Egypt's state-owned Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company (Petrojet) has obtained the Safety Certificate Contractors (SCC) accreditation, a key requirement for operating in the European market, the petroleum ministry said on Sunday. The certification follows a comprehensive audit of Petrojet's occupational safety and health systems and marks a major step in the company's plan to expand internationally, particularly into Europe for the first time. Petrojet trained and certified 70 safety engineers through internationally accredited programmes as part of its push to enhance workforce skills and operational performance. The move supports the Petroleum Ministry's strategy to boost the global competitiveness of Egyptian energy firms and expand their presence abroad, underscoring Petrojet's growing capability to deliver projects in line with international safety and quality standards.
