The minister for industry and foreign trade, Mounir Fakhry Abdel-Nour, has asserted that Samsung is planning to produce television screens and LCDs so as to increase its investments in Beni Suef plant up EGP 7 billion by 2017. The Minister has pointed out during his visit to the plant today, that the first phase of factory has completed with total cost reached EGP 850 million, expecting that the total productivity of plant may reach 600 LCDs during the second half of this year and to reach 4.2 million devices by 2015, and 7 million by 2017. Abdel-Nour added that the plant will be providing 700 job opportunities within the current phase so as to become 5 K direct job opportunities by 2017.
