Egypt's Deputy Health Minister, Mohamed El-Tayeb, has led a meeting to improve the strategic storage and supply system for medicines and medical supplies, aiming to ensure efficiency and availability nationwide, according to a ministrystatement. The meeting aimed to identify operational challenges and develop immediate implementation steps to address them, focusing on system sustainability and meeting health sector needs, the statement added. El-Tayeb noted that strict governance and oversight measures will be applied to guarantee efficiency and transparency, with executive directives issued to improve stock management and activate integration systems between strategic warehouses. He also reviewed proposals for expanding ministry-owned warehouses based on actual needs, accelerating digitisation to improve stock management and tracking, and setting a timeline with clear responsibilities for implementation.
