Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Monday with Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain's National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, and Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of Special Operations. The talks covered ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and reviewed developments in the Gaza Strip. They also discussed Egypt's efforts, in coordination with Qatar and the United States, to achieve a ceasefire. Both sides stressed the need to speed up the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip without obstacles, rejected the displacement of Palestinians, and underlined the importance of containing tensions in the region to safeguard security and stability. Sheikh Nasser and Sheikh Khalid conveyed greetings from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to President Sisi. They praised the strong ties between the two countries and highlighted the importance of boosting cooperation across different fields. They also commended Egypt's role in supporting regional security and stability. President Sisi expressed Egypt's appreciation for the policies and efforts of King Hamad. He reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to continuing coordination and joint cooperation with Bahrain in all areas, reflecting the deep historical ties between the two countries and serving the interests of their peoples, especially in light of regional challenges.
