Egypt offers to help fund Uganda-Kenya Angololo Dam Project

Egypt is ready to help finance the Angololo Multipurpose Dam Project between Uganda and Kenya through a $100 million Nile Basin infrastructure investment mechanism launched by Cairo, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said on Tuesday.
The project is a planned dam across the Malaba River, at the border between Kenya and Uganda.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni in Cairo, President Sisi said the offer was part of Egypt's commitment to supporting development in Uganda and other southern Nile Basin countries.
