Egypt's digital oil and gas investment platform has attracted more than $1.2 billion since its 2021 launch, the petroleum ministry said on Tuesday. The Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG), created in partnership with Schlumberger (SLB), now has 47 member companies and has supported drilling 127 wells across 51 areas, Gateway Director Mohamed Radwan said. Petroleum Minister Karim Badawy said the platform plays a key role in showcasing investment opportunities, providing data and technical support, and speeding decisions for exploration and production projects. He urged regular updates to the country's investment map. Schlumberger's Claudio Leone said the company plans to invest further in the gateway's infrastructure and technology.
