The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, met with the executive committee of Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) to follow up on the implementation of the project, the first of its kind in the Egyptian petroleum industry. This project is part of the ministry's efforts for developing new mechanisms to attract more foreign investments to the oil and gas exploration sector in Egypt, according to a statement on Tuesday. El-Molla said that the EUG is a huge step in marketing investment opportunities through a dedicated digital platform. The platform, which is being developed in collaboration with Schlumberger, will be launched in the near future and will include all data related to the petroleum sector as well as the upcoming tenders.
