Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny conducted an inspection tour at Al Alamein International Airport, amid rising tourist arrivals and the launch of the New Alamein Festival 2025, according to the Ministry statement on Tuesday. The visit included checks of departure and arrival halls, passenger processing areas, ground services, operations and control rooms, as well as banking, customs, and passport facilities, the statement added. El-Hefny ordered maximum readiness of work teams and streamlined procedures to ensure exceptional service quality, emphasising a premium travel experience reflecting Egypt's status as a global tourist destination. He also emphasised the political leadership's strong focus on developing the airport as part of a broader strategy to attract investments and support local and foreign development projects in the area, as stated in the release.
