Egypt exported 190,000 tons of food products in the week ending July 11, 2025, with beans and grapes topping the list of outbound shipments, the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) reported on Sunday. A total of 3,680 consignments were exported by 1,325 companies, covering 635 categories of vegetables, fruits, flour, and processed food items, according to the report. Vegetable exports hit 40,000 tons, with beans and potatoes leading at 10,000 tons each, followed by onions at 7,000 tons. Fruit exports totalled 35,000 tons across 25 varieties, led by grapes at 11,000 tons each, followed by citrus fruits at 10,000 tons and strawberries at 8 tons. Spain, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and the Sudan were among the top destinations for Egyptian food exports, which reached a total of 170 importing countries during the week.
