He stressed ongoing efforts to enhance trade and investment ties, citing recent mutual visits by officials from both sides and expressing hope for greater economic, trade and industrial integration that serves shared interests. During his meeting on Thursday in Rabat with Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Abdel-Aty reviewed Egypt's recent economic performance. Abdel-Aty also addressed existing trade frameworks and agreements between the two countries and the potential for accessing neighbouring African markets. He underscored the need to build on the outcomes of the Egyptian-Moroccan Business Forum held in Cairo in May 2025, affirming Egypt's keenness to deepen economic partnership with Morocco and take advantage of existing opportunities in both markets and those of nearby countries. He also stressed the importance of convening the joint trade committee in Cairo in 2025 to discuss bilateral trade matters. The minister voiced Egypt's interest in having Egyptian companies participate in Morocco's ongoing infrastructure projects as part of preparations for the 2030 World Cup. He also noted the importance of increasing Egypt's presence at annual international exhibitions and forums held in Morocco to promote investment opportunities and potential deals in various fields.
