Russia and China have seen trade turnover reach $71 billion year-to-date, marking a 7.5 per cent decrease compared to the same period last year, said Russian Trade Representative in China Alexey Dakhnovsky on Tuesday. Trade turnover between both countries reached nearly $245 billion last year, with Russia ranking among China's top five partners, Dakhnovsky said. However, this year, trade turnover has been declining steadily, dropping by 7.5 per cent in the first four months to $71 billion. Russian exports to China fell by 9 per cent, while imports from China decreased by 5.3 per cent, as reported at the Russian-Chinese forum. "I suggest that the explosive trade growth is a thing of the past. Trade will grow, but not with double digit rates as was the case previously, he explained. Attribution: TASS Subediting: Y.Yasser
