EGX ends week mixed on May 15

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday's session on a mixed note, with the benchmark EGX30 rising 0.36 per cent to close at 31,941.15 points.
The EGX33 Shariah-compliant index edged up 0.09 per cent to 3,280.55 points, while the EGX70 index for small and mid-cap stocks slipped 0.14 per cent to 9,417.75 points. The broader EGX100 index dipped marginally by 0.03 per cent to settle at 12,775.73 points.
Total market capitalisation reached 2,259,340,560,163 Egyptian pounds.
Foreigners were net buyers during the session, with non-Arab foreigners purchasing a net 4.97 billion pounds, and Arab investors recording net purchases of 448.6 million pounds. Conversely, Egyptian investors were net sellers with a total of 5.42 billion pounds.
Top Risers
1. Shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals rose by 17.77 per cent, to close at the price of 211.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. Shares of Maridive and Oil Services climbed by 8.08 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.321 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. Shares of Atlas for Investment and Food Industries jumped by 6.98 per cent, to the purchasing price of 1.840 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top Fallers
1. Shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation fell by 6.99 per cent, to close at 92.340 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. Shares of Lecico Egypt declined by 4.75 per cent, to close at 23.860 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. Shares of Middle Egypt Flour Mills dropped by 4.56 per cent, to close at the price of 55.290 Egyptian pounds a share.
