Egypt's Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that the Egyptian National Committee on Libya is closely following the accelerating developments and rising tensions in the neighbouring country. The committee remains in continuous session to monitor the unfolding situation, the ministry said. It added that it has set up an operations room to follow updates on the ground and coordinate with Egypt's embassy in Tripoli around the clock. The operations room is receiving queries and requests from Egyptian nationals in Libya via the following phone numbers: (00201115566606) and (00218914897985). The committee is coordinating with all relevant Egyptian state institutions to address the situation, the ministry said. It also urged Egyptian citizens residing in Libya to exercise maximum caution, stay indoors, and avoid areas experiencing tension until the situation stabilises.
