Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation Samih El Hefny met with Tajikistan's Ambassador to Egypt Parviz Mirzazoda to explore prospects for enhancing air connectivity between the two countries, according to a Cabinet statement. El Hefny highlighted the strong ties between Egypt and Tajikistan, stressing the importance of boosting cooperation in the field of air transport to support economic and tourism relations. He also reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to strengthening regional and international aviation links through partnerships with friendly nations. Ambassador Mirzazoda welcomed the launch of a new seasonal air route between Tajikistan and Sharm El Sheikh, operating once a week during the current summer season. He added that discussions are underway to sign a bilateral air transport agreement, voicing hope for future cooperation to establish regular direct flights between Dushanbe and Cairo, which he said would further tourism and deepen ties between the two nations.
