Egypt's GAFI signs MoU with N Gage Consulting to boost investment cooperation
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 26 - 03 - 2025

Egypt's General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with N Gage Consulting to strengthen cooperation in the investment sector. The agreement, signed on Wednesday, formalises their ongoing collaboration in promoting Egypt's investment climate into a sustainable partnership.
Under the MoU, GAFI will provide N Gage Consulting with comprehensive information on Egypt's business environment, including legislative updates, regulatory policies, and priority investment sectors. The company will, in turn, engage with key private sector institutions to propose policies that support investment growth in the country.
Meanwhile, N Gage Consulting will promote investment in Egypt through its local and international offices, introduce investors to GAFI's services, and supply the authority with precise data on investor interests. Additionally, it will enhance communication between GAFI and the private sector by organising regular meetings and workshops, submitting quarterly reports on investment opportunities and challenges, and offering training programmes to build the capabilities of GAFI's staff in priority areas for the Egyptian government.
GAFI CEO Hossam Heiba stated that the MoU aligns with the authority strategy to deepen cooperation with the private sector and maximise its role in raising awareness of investment developments and opportunities. He highlighted that GAFI has signed multiple MoUs in recent years with banking and consulting service institutions, which serve as key entry points for investors exploring new markets.
N Gage CEO Sherif Fahmy thus emphasised that the MoU establishes a long-term regulatory framework for the cooperation between the two entities, which has already contributed to raising awareness of Egypt's investment landscape, attracting investments, and enhancing the skills of GAFI's employees. He also noted that Engage Consulting signed a similar MoU last year with the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement to strengthen investment and trade cooperation between Egypt and other African nations.
