The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.78 percent to 31,290.62 points. The Shariah index, EGX33 surged by 1.26 to 3,384.59 points. The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.57 per cent to 8,787.13 points The EGX100 index hiked by 0.78 per cent to 12,209.73 points. Egypt's market capitalisation reached 2,244,798,346,223 Egyptian pounds. Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 491,553,174 Egyptian pounds and 4,387,761,534 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 4,879,314,708 Egyptian pounds. Top gainers 1. Shares of Misr National Steel – Ataqa soared by 9.33 per cent to close at 8.200 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Arab Ceramic CO.- Ceramica Remas jumped by 6.34 per cent, closing at 0.872 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Shares of Egypt Aluminum climbed by 6.25 per cent, to close at 174.000 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers 1. Shares of Rights Issue Of Beltone Holding -4 dived by 18.03 per cent, closing at 0.050 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Shares of Cairo Oils & Soap plunged by 7.79 to close at 0.355 Egyptian pounds. 3.
