Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Sunday received Egypt's Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly at the Amiri Diwan's Bayan Palace to discuss cooperation and coordination on various regional and international issues. The meeting was attended by Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, several Kuwaiti ministers, and Egypt's Ambassador to Kuwait, Osama Shaltout. Sheikh Sabah welcomed Dr Madbouly to Kuwait, commending Egypt's role in supporting Arab causes and the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. He acknowledged the strong cooperation between Kuwait and Egypt across multiple sectors and noted the potential for further collaboration, particularly in investment and economic development. He referenced the recent visit of Egypt's Minister of Investment to Kuwait, which yielded positive outcomes for strengthening bilateral relations. Arab Coordination The Kuwaiti Crown Prince also underscored the importance of Arab coordination in addressing regional challenges and expressed anticipation for Egypt's plan for Gaza reconstruction, ensuring the rights and stability of the Palestinian people. Dr Madbouly thanked Sheikh Sabah for the warm reception and hospitality, recalling their previous meeting during the COP29 climate conference in Baku. He reiterated Egypt's unwavering support for Palestinian rights, including the establishment of a state within the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. He emphasised that Gaza's reconstruction must ensure the Palestinian people remain on their land. Highlighting Egypt's commitment to Arab unity, Dr Madbouly praised President Sisi's efforts in fostering regional stability. He expressed hope for resolving ongoing regional crises and achieving security and prosperity for all Arab nations. In conclusion, Sheikh Sabah praised Egypt's Al-Azhar as a centre of moderation in the Arab world and stressed the need for collective efforts to address current challenges. He reaffirmed the importance of a unified stance on Gaza reconstruction at the upcoming Arab summit and expressed optimism that Dr Madbouly's visit would further strengthen Kuwait-Egypt relations across multiple sectors.
