Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El Khateeb, met with Spain's Economy Minister Carlos Cuervo to explore ways to strengthen economic relations and increase bilateral trade and investment. He also pointed to Egypt's trade agreements, particularly the Egypt-EU Partnership Agreement, which grants tariff-free access to various global markets, making Egypt an attractive hub for Spanish companies seeking competitive export destinations. El Khateeb outlined recent fiscal and monetary reforms, noting their expected positive impact on economic growth. He also detailed government efforts to transfer state-owned assets to Egypt's sovereign fund to enhance investment efficiency.
