Indonesia's new capital, Nusantara, in East Kalimantan province will start recieving private investment as of February 2025, as reported by local media citing Nusantara Capital Authority spokesperson Troy Pantouw. Local media reported that 6.49 trillion Indonesian rupiah (around $397.5 million) in private investment is expected for the second phase of Nusantara's capital construction from 2025 to 2029. The development will be financed through private funding, as well as the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget and the Government and Business Entity Cooperation (PPP) scheme.
