Egypt's Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) has partnered with Giza Governorate to support micro-enterprises and improve infrastructure in the Mit Okba area. The agreement, valued at 20 million Egyptian pounds, is part of Egypt's Urban Upgrading Programme, funded by the EU with an additional grant from the French Development Agency. The project will upgrade 6.9 km of drinking water networks, benefiting over 21,000 residents and providing 14,000 temporary jobs. Adel El-Nagar, Governor of Giza, emphasised that this initiative supports the governorate's efforts to enhance services and improve citizens' living standards. Additionally, the Agency and the Egyptian Small Enterprise Development Foundation (ESED) signed a microfinance agreement, with 50 million Egyptian pounds allocated to fund micro-enterprises, including working capital and equipment.
