Egypt is preparing to host a significant US Economic Forum in May, anticipating high-level participation from both nations, said Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty on Thursday. Speaking at an event organised by the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA), the Egyptian minister emphasised that the anticipated forum is set to play a pivotal role in strengthening economic ties with the US and attracting foreign investment from global partners, including the UK and the EU. Minister Abdel-Atty highlighted the forum's potential to unlock Egypt's economic potential, describing it as a mutually beneficial endeavour and win-win situation. He emphasised collaborative opportunities across diverse sectors, including renewable energy, technology, infrastructure, and education. The minister reiterated Egypt's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment for foreign investors, particularly those from the UK. He also highlighted recent efforts to enhance bilateral relations, stating that the upcoming investment conference will serve as an ideal platform for exploring new opportunities and facilitating partnerships. Egypt aims to leverage the forum to showcase its strategic advantages, reform initiatives, and burgeoning sectors to global investors.
