Egypt's external debt declines in H2 FY '23/'24

Egypt's external debt reached $152.9 billion by the end of the second half of fiscal year 2023/2024, down nine per cent from $168 billion in the previous half, according to a data released by the central bank.
The long-term external debt fell to $126.8 billion by the end of June, compared to $138.551 billion by the end of December 2023, while short-term debt recorded $26.24 billion, compared to $29.482 billion.
