CBE: Egypt's issued banknotes up to EGP 1.273t by May '24

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has reported that the amount of issued banknote reached 1.273 trillion Egyptian pound by May 2024, compared to 1.232 trillion pound at the end of April 2024.
The value of 200-pound denomination rose to 806.369 billion pound in May from 781.356 billion pound in the previous month. The 100-pound banknotes also increased from 387.790 billion pound to 375.064 billion pound in April 2024.
Additionally, the 50-pound banknotes saw growth of 49.437 billion pound to 45.806 billion pound in April 2024.
