Egyptian Exchange Briefing 21/02/2023

The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) has witnessed a huge incline in its major indices today. The main index in the stock market, EGX 30 has witnessed a leap forward of 1.34 percent to close at 17039.45. The opening value this morning was 16814, and the lowest value recorded was 16714.32 at midday. However, it leaped forward one more time to reach a high value of 17046.37, and then declining slightly to close at 17039.45.
EGX70 EWI as well witnessed a huge incline of 1.19 percent to close at 2981.09. The highest recorded value was 2984.98 and the lowest recorded value was 2941.10.
EGX50 EWI is another index that witnessed a leap forward of 1.25 percent. Its opening value was 2869.81, throughout the day it went from a low value of 2856.91 to a high value of 2905.76, to finally close at the highest value recorded.
EGX100 EWI witnessed an incline as well of 1.20 percent. This morning it opened at 4409.99, and recorded a low value of 4397.61. The highest value recorded was its closing value of 4462.94.
The Egyptian Exchange has a market cap of almost 1.1 trillion Egyptian pounds, gaining around 11 billion pounds today.
