Egypt has added 28 new nationalities to its electronic tourist visa list, bringing the total number of nationalities able to obtain the visa electronically to 74, Ministry of Tourism announced on Wednesday. The move came within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to promote tourism through facilitating tourist visa measures, the ministry statement added. Upgrading the list came a year after relieving the coronavirus-related restriction and resumption of tourism activities in Egypt in July 2020, Deputy Minister of Tourism Ghada Shalaby said. This upgrade is expected to encourage and allure more tourists from different nationalities to come and visit Egypt, Shalabi added. There are eight languages available on the Egyptian state's Visa Electronic Visa Portal https://www.visa2egypt.gov.eg/ for issuing the tourism visas electronically, she noted.
