The Career & Employment Guidance Forum has been launched today in Borg El Arab city in Alexandria, with the purpose of providing job opportunities to youths and guiding them in their career path in private sector or entrepreneurship sector.
The Forum was inaugurated by Eman El-Nahas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration on behalf of the Minister Khaled Al Azhary; Alaa Awad, media consultant; and Mohamed Saad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration in Alexandria in the presence of Nagwa Ismail, National Project Coordinator at United Nations- Programming Unit at International Labour Organization (ILO); Hany El Menshawy, chairman of Borg El Arab Investors Association and more than 3000 youths from Alexandria.
The Minister said employment forums were held before in Fayoum, Port Said, Luxor and Aswan, with the aim of linking employers and job seekers.
The Minister's statement, said by Alaa Awad on behalf of him, that the state-run administrations are no longer in need for new employees; therefore, the labor law and social insurance law are being amended to provide youths with secured job positions in the private sector. The private sector is no longer imposing unfair conditions on employees as the sector became like a partnership between employees and employers, he said.
More than 2800 job opportunities were provided in previous forums, Nagwa Ismail affirmed, hoping the Forum in Alexandria will provide more than 2000 job opportunities in more than 30 of the companies participating in the forum.
