Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 06 - 04 - 2020

Several real estate companies are providing resources in state efforts against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes.
The companies have launched charitable and social initiatives to assist families affected by the outbreak and the ensuing emergency measures taken to curb its spread.
SODIC shifts marketing resources to Covid-19 awareness, protection programmes
The Sixth of October Development and Investment Company (SODIC) is redirecting all its marketing resources to awareness and protection programmes on the coronavirus (Covid-19).
The move comes as part of stepped up efforts in combating the coronavirus outbreak by joining the global community in creating awareness about the pandemic and attempting to curb its spread.
SODIC announced a multi-level approach which will see the resources redirected to creating awareness through its outdoor billboards and digital platforms, in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
The company will also donate ventilators and monitors to the Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital, for a dedicated unit equipped to receive Covid-19 patients.
There will also be protection packages distributed in Ezebt Khairallah, providing the community with immunity boosters, sanitisation material, and hygiene instructions.
Hyde Park provides 10 ventilators
Hyde Park Developments has signed a protocol with the Misr El Kheir Foundation to provide quarantine hospitals nationwide with 10 ventilators, enhancing their treatment capabilities.
Hyde Park CEO Amin Serag stressed the need for nationwide cooperation during the crisis, adding that this critical period requires a united front, with the real estate sector in the forefront, to protect the Egyptian people.
Mountain View supports doctors and nursing staff
Mountain View has launched a campaign, called "We protect those who protect us", in cooperation with the Misr El Kheir Foundation. The campaign will secure scarce medical equipment for fever and quarantine hospitals nationwide, to help doctors and nursing staff treat Covid-19 patients.
Mountain View is leading this campaign and providing financial support. The company will also invite other companies, institutions, residents of its projects, and employees to donate to the Misr El Kheir Foundation for this. According to Mountian View's agreement with Misr El Kheir, the foundation will be responsible for providing needed medical supplies to targeted hospitals using the campaign's donations.
Mountain View Chairperson Amr Soliman called on the private sector, especially property developers, to participate in the campaign as part of their social responsibility.
City Edge donates EGP 10m to Tahya Misr Fund
City Edge Developments has donated EGP 10m to Tahya Misr Fund, a donation-based national fund. The donation comes in support of the government's efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus in Egypt, and cushion the crisis' impact on the economy.
"We believe that the best way to combat coronavirus in Egypt is to unite the efforts of all institutions, including civil society and public and private sectors," said Ashraf Salman, the Chairperson of City Edge. "Due to the extraordinary situation and the fast-moving pace of events, further measures to strengthen the fight against the virus outbreak and its consequences may rapidly need to be taken."
El Attal subsidises 500 underprivileged families for two months
El Attal Holding has announced subsidising the expenditures of 500 underprivileged families of those most affected by the curfew imposed in Egypt, for two months.
El Attal Holding Chairperson Ahmed El Attal stressed the need for unity between state institutions and the private sector to overcome the current crisis.
He called on the private sector to strengthen its efforts in supporting the state to secure needed medical equipment to hospitals. This would be in addition to supporting underprivileged families and day labourers who are the most affected by the emergency measures.
