More than 45 real estate firms showcased luxurious project at the 12th edition of the Bahrain International Property Exhibition (BIPEX), which opened Sunday in Manama.
The event was officially inaugurated by Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre in the presence of prominent Bahraini community members, investors, and top players in the real estate sector.
This year's special platform will connect investors, builders, buyers, innovation transformation leaders, and shared crucial insights on the region's real estate sector, said the organisers, Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE).
A key highlight is a two-day conference with 7 sessions running through out till December 9. The sessions will address the critical changes and shifts happening in the GCC real estate market, and the kingdom.
More than 20 speakers including CEOs, developers, real estate professionals and institutions discussed various topics targeted towards developers, homeowners and tenants as well, it added.
Following the opening, the VIP attendees and prominent community leaders took a tour of the projects being displayed at the exhibition show, said the BSE in its statement. General attendees flocked to the expo thus taking the visitor numbers on the first day to 1,500, it added.
Additionally, visitors had the opportunity to visit the newly revealed interior space launched in the opening day as well.
IKEA Bahrain, a Gold Sponsor of the exhibition, displayed an innovative and experiential space which provided consultations, in addition to showcasing creative, designer and luxury products for home and commercial spaces.
Addressing the gathering, BSE President Dheya Tawfiqi lauded Shaikh Khalid for his support for the growing real estate sector and continued patronage for the exhibition.
“The new edition sheds light on the real estate sector in the region, the numerous changes to the sector's regulatory framework, and infrastructure, he stated.
“As a only professional engineering association in Bahrain, we focus our efforts on the industrial development and modernisation of the kingdom,” he added.
Bipex Chairman Mohd Al Sayed said: “This year, the platform is bigger and better. Not only do we have leading prime sponsors and exhibitors showcasing their developments, but we are also connecting all the leading developers in a successful forum to have futuristic conversations with solutions for the challenges addressed.”
“Our efforts will help reshape the real estate market in Bahrain and deliver the right image to the regional and global audience. Our presence should not be limited to this market but also to several others,” he added.
