Banque Misr to open new branch in Saudi Arabia

Banque Misr, Egypt's second largest bank, has submitted a request to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) to issue banking licences to open a new branch, its vice chairman told Amwal Al Ghad.
Akef El Maghraby also added that his bank making the arrangements and procedures required to open new branches in Korea, Italy and Kenya as part of the bank's desire to strengthen its external presence during the coming period during the upcoming period.
He also added that Banque Misr aims at opening a new branch at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), explaining that He c the bank attracted $ 500 million through its branches in United Arab Emirates for government debt instruments.
