Members of parties which have an Islamic frame of reference are examining the possibility of forming an alliance for the upcoming parliamentary election in order to win the largest number of seats, said Khaled Saeed, the spokesperson for the Salafi front. Saeed, also a founder of the Fadila Party, told Al-Masry Al-Youm that his party presented this initiative, which would ensure that parties with an Islamic frame of reference will all back one candidate representing the whole bloc, preventing competition between members of different Islamic forces. He added that as soon as the elections law is issued, the Muslim Brotherhood will determine which constituencies they will contest and the rest of the seats will be distributed among the remaining parties. Emad Eddin Abdel Ghafour, deputy founder of Nour Party, said there are currently disagreements between its members regarding the scale of participation in the parliamentary poll. While the youth call for contesting most of the seats, others call for fielding only five candidates to allow more time for the party to establish itself.
