British Prime Minister William Hague hailed the death of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden as a great development. From Cairo's iconic Tahrir Sqaure, Hague congratulated the United States troops on killing bin Laden and added that people all over the world are happy by such news. However, bin Laden's death should encourage more caution, according to Hague who stressed necessity of countering terrorist schemes. Hague noted what he called a clear contrast between the peaceful struggle in Tahrir Square for the sake of democracy and the tactic of killing and destroying adopted by al-Qaeda, and said that Egypt's example has inspired many Arab countries “We should feel comfort that the personal role played by bin Laden to spread terrorism is over,” Hague added.
