A series of explosions have rocked a street outside Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim's home in eastern Cairo, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported, quoting security sources. A high-ranking security source told Al-Masry Al-Youm "two consecutive explosions" struck the street outside the minister's home. Ibrahim was taken home by an armoured vehicle following the blasts, the source added. The explosion went off outside the minister's residence on Mostafa al-Nahhas street in Nasr City, east Cairo. Sources added that the blast resulted in an unknown number of casualties and damage to cars in the surrounding area. Al-Masry Al-Youm confirmed the minister and his security crew are safe following the incident.
