Al-Mandara Village in Assiut is in a state of horror after finding the bodies of two children that had disappeared 40 days ago. The police did not yet solve the ambiguity of their deaths. The father of one of them said his son's body was in a bag in the morgue and was completely decomposed. He did not know as to whether some organs could have been stolen from it.
33-year-old farmer Sameh Mohamed Gad, father of the victim Karim, said that his 6-year-old son has been missing since December 25, and that he has filed Protocol No. 7156 with the police but they did not give it much attention except when another child called Gamal has also disappeared and rumors of child stealing has spread in the village. He added: “I did not recognize my son's body in the morgue as it was completely decomposed and had no skull. I only recognized the clothes.” He said they have no enemies, and asked the authorities to find why his son was killed, to know whether any organs were stolen from his body and to catch the murderer. 49-year-old farmer Eid, father of the second victim, said that he suspects his son's cousin, Ali Badr, because he was with him when he disappeared, and that he has informed the police of his suspicion. He also said that the body of his son was intact. Brigadier General Ibrahim Saber, Director of Homicide, said that the two crimes are likely to have been committed by one perpetrator, and that Ali Badr, the suspect, was arrested. The first body was found in a bag in a canal, while the second was found in the field with the head missing.
