Minister of Trade and Industry Rashid Mohamed Rashid said Egyptian exports will decline in the first and second quarters of this year due to the global crisis. He said the government is currently trying to maintain the export level achieved last year. Rashid told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the annual 20% export target would not be achieved this year due to the crisis. He added that Japanese exports fell by a record 35% in December compared to last year.
