MB Attacks Al-Miligi for His Secret Organization Book and Accuses Him of Trying to Tarnish MB''s Image; Al-Miligi Unveils Documents
Published in Almasry Alyoum on 25 - 05 - 2009

The Muslim Brotherhood [MB] has launched a scathing attack on Dr Al-Sayeed Abdel Sattar Al-Miligi, a member of the MB Shura Council, because of his book (Reconsiderations of thought and organization within the Muslim Brotherhood), due to be issued over the next few days.  This is the first book within an encyclopedia about this group's history.
The MB's particularly attacked Al-Miligi's affirmation that there is an MB secret organization, while Al-Miligi itself said he would stick to what he had said based on the documents at his disposal.
Dr. Mohamed Gamal Heshmat, a member of the MB Shura Council, denied the existence of a secret organization. He dismissed Al-Miligi's ideas as naïve, saying they had been formulated by a person with no ideas or views.
He explained that a secret organization would hamper the MB's work, as it could create major problems with the regime. He also said the idea of a secret organization was pointless.
Heshmat accused Al-Miligi of speculating on the MB, adding that the latter did not accept his speculations.
He also affirmed that Al-Miligi or anyone else would not be able to force the MB to accept the advice, and he called on him to stop speculating and trying to tarnish the MB's image.
Dr. Mohamed Habib, MB First Deputy General Guide, at first refused to comment, but he then affirmed that Al-Miligi was not a member of the MB Shura Council.
For his part, Al-Miligi has revealed the documents published for the first time in his encyclopedia.
He affirmed they had never been published before and said they were his correspondence with the MB General Guide and the latter's first deputy.
He pointed out that those documents contained some minutes of the meetings held by some members of the special organization with him inside the MB Guidance Bureau.
He also said those documents contained new information about how the organization controlled, through its method, the process of concealing information from the Bureau and the mechanism with which it concealed the information it wanted about the Guidance Bureau members.
Al-Miligi affirmed that the organization was led by Dr. Mahmoud Ezzat, the MB secretary general and the person responsible for receiving and preparing letters as well as preparing the drafts concerning the discussions inside the Guidance Bureau.
Al-Miligi accused Dr. Ezzat of hiding his letters or not including them intentionally in the discussions of the Guidance Bureau.
Al-Miligi reiterated that there was not one single thinker in a scientific sense and that most of the organization members were specialized in various sciences but not law.
He then added that the group lacked a mechanism to deal with those under or outside its umbrella. For instance, he mentioned an article by Dr. Diaa Rashwan, a specialist in Islamic movements, who started that very article by asking: "How can I join the MB?"
Al-Miligi went on to say that Dr. Rashwan received no answer to that question, while narrow-minded political parties, which are very few, do have such a mechanism.
Al-Miligi also said that his dispute with the MB secretary was nothing personal, as the latter tried to depict, instead. He then affirmed that he published those documents to revive the MB and correct its flaws.
