Cairo - New cooperation between Al-Azhar and Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates announces Al-Azhar's online gate is available, through the ministry's website and Facebook, to receive expatriates' inquiries on different religious topics. State Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Ambassador Nabela Makram pointed out that the new initiative works towards the ministry's vision and goals of enhancing the communication between Egyptian expatriates and al-Azhar scholars and by spreading the correct more moderate concepts of Islam. Expatriates can send their inquiries and questions on the "Ask al-Azhar" tab after registering on the following link: http://expats.emigration.gov.eg/Registration/register, Makram said, noting that experts in different areas of Islam will be ready to answer questions promptly. The ministry formerly coordinated with al-Azhar when it arranged a meeting between Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayeb and middle-aged Egyptian immigrants. Al-Azhar Observer will play a supervisory role within the new cooperation, relying on a set of foreign language speaking researchers who monitor extremist organizations' media outlets and follow Islam and Muslim broadcasts via the internet, social media networks, TV channels, newspapers and think tanks, said Makram.
