Cairo – "I wish you all were here with me ... visiting the pyramids in Cairo, Egypt today!," Gloria Gaynor posted in a video on Facebook to her fans in front of Great Pyramids of Giza on Wednesday. She is on several-day visit to Egypt for a concert she will perform Wednesday. Before taking on the stage, the international singer decided to pay a visit the archaeological and historic area of the pyramids. In a statement to Masrawi Newspaper Wednesday, Ashraf Mohiuddin, director of the Pyramid Antiquities Area, said that the singer came as a regular visitor. Colonel Walid al-Sharqawi, head of the tourism and archeology department in Giza, also said that the high-level visit did not require any security beefed up nor precautions added up."
