Cairo - Egypt's Coptic Church decided on Thursday to suspend holding any conferences and organizing the church-sponsored trips to monasteries, according to sources from within the church. The sources revealed that the decision comes upon information from security authorities that terrorist groups will target the Coptic gatherings during the coming period. The decision came following nearly three months of deadly suicide bomb attacks that targeted churches in Tanta and Alexandria, killing 45 people. The massacre was followed by another deadly attack on a bus of Copts en route to a monastery in the Minya desert, in which IS militants opened fire against them and killed more than 27 people.
