Cairo - Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Development Minister Hala el Saaed discussed with Portuguese Ambassador in Cairo, Madeleine Fischer, development projects and the reform of the government apparatus in the two countries. In a statement, on Monday, the minister said that the Egyptian government is seeking to automate the government services through electronic governance or e-governance which is the application of information and communication technology (ICT) for delivering government services. They also discussed benefiting from Portuguese experience in projects carried out over the past years, including facilitating access to government services, the statement added.
