Cairo - Al-Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayyeb greeted on Sunday Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria on Easter, reported by Middle East News Agency. In a statement released by Azhar, Sheikh Tayyeb praised the friendly relations between Azhar and the Church, noting that they are both standing as a defense wall against all dangers threatening Egypt's future and seeking to destroy the unity between Muslims and Christians. He also asserted that the Egyptian people are one fabric that is hard to be torn apart, explaining that any attempt to target the steadfastness of Egyptians will be doomed to failure. He reiterated that the Egyptians are standing in one line in the face of the evil powers of terrorism.
