Cairo - Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and Arab League Abdelkader Messahel held Tuesday, in Cairo, discussions with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry. "We have broached all the Arab issues as well as the challenges facing the Arab nation and ways to strengthen the cooperation by supporting the Arab League's mechanisms," said Choukri following his talks with Messahel on the sidelines of the 147th session of the Arab League Foreign Ministers Council, chaired by Algeria. The discussions focused also on the two countries' action within the African Union (AU), the Libyan crisis, the scourge of terrorism as well as the Algerian-Egyptian bilateral relations and their contribution to addressing all these issues. Egyptian Foreign minister underlined the permanent contacts between Algeria and Egypt for the benefit of the Arab world. Concerning Algeria's chairmanship in the Arab League ministerial Council, Choukri expressed the hope that this chairmanship will help strengthening the Arab cooperation and solidarity in this important situation and before the next Arab summit.
