Juba - Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Ahmed Fadel Yacoub held talks with South Sudanese ministers of foreign affairs, health, education, transport, animal resources and fisheries on means of boosting joint cooperation. Egyptian Ambassador in Juba Ayman Mokhtar Elgammal took part in the meetings. The Egyptian senior diplomat affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries at the governmental and popular levels, expressing Egypt's keenness on supporting the development efforts undertaken by the South Sudanese government, especially in health, education and food production areas, said a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry. During his meeting with South Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Deng Alor, Yacoub said Egypt follows up developments in the implementation of the peace agreement, and welcomes the national dialogue initiative, recently launched by South Sudan's President Salva Kiir.
