Cairo - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has praised Egyptian-French relations particularly in the military domains. During a meeting with French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Tuesday, the president welcomed growing cooperation between the two sides. The president bestowed the order of the republic of the first class on the French minister in appreciation of his efforts in boosting military cooperation between the two sides. Presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said the French minister expressed his keenness on promoting cooperation with Egypt especially in the military domain. The French minister called for pursuing coordination and consultations between the two sides to overcome the challenges topped by terrorism whose repercussions reached all parts of the world. According to Youssef, the minister conveyed the greetings of French President Francois Hollande to president Sisi. President Sisi stressed the importance of exerting strenuous efforts by the international community to fight terrorist organizations and end supplying them with fund and arms.
