Cairo - Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zaid said Yesterday Saturday that Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson held talks on boosting bilateral relations along with regional issues of mutual concern. In a released statement, Abu Zaid added that the two ministers discussed all aspects of Egyptian-British relations at the political, economic and cultural levels. The talks also dealt with the resumption of British flights to Sharm el-Sheikh, he added. Shoukry reviewed the progress made in securing Egyptian airports according to a joint plan between the two sides and in line with international standards. Shoukry added that the continued suspension of British flights to Egyptian tourist destinations is completely incomprehensible, said the spokesman. The British minister listened to the Egyptian viewpoint regarding the most important regional issues, especially the crises in Libya, Syria, Yemen and Iraq and efforts for combating terrorism along with the chances to resume the peace process between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, the spokesman added.
