Cairo - Thousands of patients in Egypt and Sudan recently received free medicine from the Emirates Medicine Bank through Emirati mobile clinics, said Dr. Adel al Shameri, Executive Director of the Zayed Giving Initiative told WAM news agency today. Two weeks ago, Zayed Giving Initiative has launched an international humanitarian campaign for the Emirates Medicine Bank, under the supervision of volunteer doctors. The campaign seeks to collect excess medications and medical supplies from individuals and institutions to offer to poor patients throughout the world at no cost, and distribute in mobile clinics and Emirati mobile volunteer hospitals. This follows a call by the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for 2017 to become the Year of Giving.
