Replica statue of King Ramses II erected in Ecuadorian capital

Quito - Egypt's Ambassador to the Republic of Ecuador 'Abdel Moneim Omar Abdel Moneim' attended a ceremony to set up a replica statue of King Ramses II in the Ecuadorian capital, Quito.

The statue was erected at Egypt Square, the new name of Quito's Condado Square.

The Ecuadorian side has thanked Egypt's Antiquities Ministry and Tourism Promotion Authority for their contributions to building Egypt Square and gifting the replica statue, Abdel Moneim said in a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.
