Court resumes trial of 47 defendants in Tebbin police station storming case

Cairo Criminal Court resumes Thursday, the trial of 47 defendants, charged with killing two police officers and injuring others, during an attack on Al-Tebbin police station in 2013, Al-Bawaba news reported.
Prosecution also accused the defendants of attempting murder of police personnel, smuggling prisoners, assaulting police station, joining a terrorist entity, inciting violence as well as possessing unlicensed weapons and thuggery.
In August 2013, pro-Morsi protesters rallied in front of the police station and opened fire on security forces in protest against the dispersal of Raba and Nahda sit-ins against the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi+
