Cairo Criminal Court resumes Sunday, the trial of 47 defendants, charged with killing two police officers and injuring others, during an attack on Al-Tebbin police station in 2013, Youm7 news reported. Prosecution also accused the defendants of thuggery, setting fire on the police station as well as possessing weapons and joining an outlawed group. In August 2013, following the dispersal of the Raba'a and Nahda sit-ins, staged by the MB to demand the reinstatement of ousted president Mohamed Morsi, pro-Morsi protesters rallied in front of the police station and opened fire on security forces.
