The outlawed Muslim Brotherhood (MB)'s supporters demonstrated Friday without prior permit from Egyptian authorities in Beheira governorate's Marakbeya neighborhood to protest against the handover of Tiran and Sanafir islands to Saudi Arabia, Al Bawaba News reported. Security forces were deployed to the neighborhood in order to break up the demonstration. Unlicensed demonstrations are criminalized in Egypt according to the Protest Law, issued by interim authorities following the ouster of MB rule in July 2013.
