A mortar shell in North Sinai city of Sheikh Zuwaid has killed two civilians and wounded two children, medical and security source said on Monday. The shell, shot by militants linked to the Islamic State offshoot "Province of Sinai", was targeting a police checkpoint before it hit a house by mistake, according to eyewitnesses. The victims, two brothers, have been identified as Nasser, 35 and Mohamed, 45, according to the sources. The injured children, who have not yet been identified, have been carried to a hospital in Al-Arish.
